2003   Rock Camps

Rock climbing has become one of THE sports of the new century and OWA is at the forefront of providing solid instruction and in-depth experience on some of the finest rock in the world.  Our rock climbing program is accredited by the American Mountain Guides Association and all instruction is under the direction of experienced OWA Guides.
     Programs are offered for climbers of all levels-- from entry level novices to competition sport climbers interested in expanding their base of  knowledge. In all of our programs, instruction focusses on developing the wide array of skills required to be a responsible and successful climber including climbing technique for a variety of surfaces and types of routes (including bouldering, sport, trad, mountain and multi-pitch), belays and belay systems, anchors and setting up top rope climbs, rappelling, equipment use and management, physical training and development, dealing with emergencies, and climber safety.
