OWA's Great Adventures

OWA summer programs generally originate at the OWA Colorado Base Camp and Bison Peak Lodge located about 70 miles west of Colorado Springs, in the Tarryall Mountains. Some programs take place in the Base Camp area, while others head into a variety of backcountry locations in Colorado,Wyoming, New Mexico, Europe and Latin America. Many programs do not require previous experience, but participants should be prepared for an active experience in a relatively remote setting. We really do what we say we do--and that means real, live, active adventure! OWA provides most gear including backpacks, climbing gear, mountain bikes, fly rods, and tents along with transportation to and from the Colorado Springs Airport, great food and some of the best guides and leaders in the business! Group size is limited.

OWA is fully insured and bonded, licensed by the State of Colorado Division of Child Care, and operates on public lands under permit through the US Forest Service, BLM, Colorado State Parks and National Park Service. OWA is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Service Provider. OWA is a supporting member of the American Mountain Guides Association, Camping Association for Mutual Progress and an accredited member of the Association for Experiential Education. OWA's rock climbing program has been accredited by the American Mountain Guides Association.
