In his youth, Kirk trekked through the Alps in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Outdoor Recreation. These days, Kirk is a firefighter in Kerrville, TX. He guides climbing, fly fishing, mountaineering, and mountain biking for OWA. Most impressively, Kirk is a two-time Iron Man finisher. He is a licensed paramedic and holds numerous other medical certifications.
