Chelsea Faerber has been guiding and working in the recreation field since 1998. After she met her husband, James, she moved to Wyoming and worked with City Kids Wilderness Project, in Jackson, Wyoming as well as working for the Climbing Shop Wild Iris in Lander, Wyoming. She has a bachelors degree in Recreation Administration with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation and has almost finished her MBA. In her college years she worked as guide at Texas Tech and at Texas State (formerly Southwest Texas State University) where she spent her days whitewater kayaking and climbing. She currently has her Wilderness First Responder, is a Leave No Trace trainer and is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. She has worked in different psychiatric hospitals and a center for the blind where she created and led outdoor recreation trips for the State of Texas. Chelsea has also spoken at several conferences around the US to increase the knowledge of outdoor recreation for people with disabilities. One of the highlights of her climbing career was climbing The Grand Teton with her husband and her father.
