Director Emeritus, Senior Guide. He has been working with OWA since the early 90's and has directed several OWA programs each summer as well as serving as the OWA Associate Director and Technical Director. He has a degree in Radio/TV from the University of Texas and previously worked on and managed several political campaigns before settling on a more rewarding career. He is a member of the American Mountain Guides Association and has completed two AMGA Rock Guide Training programs. He is a certified Outdoor Emergency Care technician as well as an accomplished rock climber, ice climber, mountain biker, and skier. His expedition experience includes an ascent of the classic West Ridge of Alaska's Mount Hunter, OWA's 2002 Ancohuma Expedition and winter ascents of several Colorado 14ers. He works as a professional ski patroller at Breckenridge periodically during the winter although he and his family (wife Shelly and daughters Peachie, Willow and Piera)now reside in the Texas Hill Country full time where they operate the Austin division of Lighthouse Solar
