Paul has been guiding with OWA since 1995 and became a Senior Guide at the end of Summer '97. He is a professional member of the American Mountain Guides Association and is currently working to become a certified AMGA Rock and Alpine Guide-- having completed 3 certification courses. He has a BS from Northern Arizona University and has done extensive graduate work in Latin American Studies at the University of New Mexico. He was the New Mexico All-Around State Gymnastics Champion for two years and previously worked as a climbing instructor at a private hospital and at a rock gym. He has an extensive expedition resume that includes nine climbing expeditions to the Bolivia Andes, ascents of Aconcagua in Argentina, as well as Denali, two expeditions to the Himalayas, and climbing in the Alps. Paul is a certified Wilderness First Responder, works for the Santa Fe Ski Area during the winter. He and wife, Laura reside in the Albuquerque area.
