Mark is a Colorado native and became an OWA Senior Guide in 2001 after working part time with OWA beginning in 1998. He has an MS in Botany from Colorado State and is currently a professional member of the Breckenridge Ski Patrol. He is a certified EMT-B. He has guiding experience in rock and alpine climbing, backcountry travel and fly fishing dating back into the 80's. Mark is involved in ongoing wetlands research in the South Park area and has an impressive climbing resume that includes numerous Grade V's and VI's including the Salathe Wall (Yosemite)and a first ascent of a sub spire on Fitzroy. Mark is as well aquainted with classic climbing routes in the Western US as just about anyone. He and wife Kat live in Fairplay.
